Currently : February

One of the things that makes our stories so sacred is that there are everyday, seemingly mundane moments that make up the bigger narrative. Each of these daily rhythms, reflections or tasks is pieced together with others and suddenly, we have our story.
Sometimes, the road to joy is through a brief, quiet moment of reflection on the present in the midst of the often large & loud life.
Ann & Erin are hosting a link up that allows for some fun reflection on the smaller bits of life, encouraging us to share what we are "currently" up to as the new month begins!

Packing

Clothes upon clothes into bags for donations. While I've been chipping away at this for a while, this morning I put on 8 different outfits, leading to a comical purge of frustration.

Jonesing

For a fresh living space. Our apartment is great. Really, it is. But we've lived in it for 3 years and the 950 square feet of apartment beige walls and carpeting is starting to feel a bit drab. I'm dying for a space that I'm free to paint and decorate to my little hearts content.

Texting

Pictures of Leo to Isaac. I won't even elaborate because it's way too boring and weird for anyone who doesn't have an unhealthy obsession with their neurotic dog.

Reading

Nothing to Prove: Why We Can Stop Trying So Hard by Jennie Allen. It just came out yesterday and I'm only 2 seconds into it but it's already incredible and just the refreshing my always striving soul needed.

Hearting

Our people. Lately, it seems like we are overrun by opportunities to spend time and make memories with friends from all over and from all parts of our lives. As introverts who, admittedly, are easily overwhelmed by daily stressors, we tend to forget to include time with those we love in our daily routines. Recently, however, we have had a surplus of plans and it's been such a gift!

What small moments are currently making up your story? How would you answer these fun prompts? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Found your blog through the link up!! I love it. I definitely do the purging of clothes in fits of nothing to wear, at least 3 times a year, too :)

  2. Oh I feel you exactly on the introvert issue. It often feels like just too much to plan time with others outside of my little family, but in the end I'm always glad when I do spend time with my people.

    Thanks for joining us!
